Removal of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment from the Customer's Home

חוק פינוי מוצר ישן / פסולת אלקטרונית

IMPORTANT: We’re explaining the law here, but only the law itself has value

According to the israeli law, when purchasing this electrical appliance, you will be entitled to have the old electrical appliance removed free of charge, if necessary, in the following cases:

  • The old electrical appliance is identical in type, size and weight to the new electrical appliance you have purchased.

  • The old electrical appliance is disconnected from electricity, water, gas or any other fixed connection.

  • The product must be ready for removal, empty of contents and waiting for the carrier in an accessible location.

  • It is important to clarify that a product that is not ready for removal will not be removed.

  • You must inform us at the time of purchase that there is a need to remove an old product at the time of delivery of the new product.

Payment for exceptional removal:

If exceptional removal is required, payment will be required for the removal.

Removal will be considered exceptional removal in the following cases:

  • The old appliance is located on the third floor or above in a building without an elevator (on the second floor in a building on columns) or in a case where it is impossible to use the elevator to remove the old appliance.

  • The transportation of the new product is done using a crane.

  • For removal, it is necessary to disassemble part of the appliance, for example, to disassemble the door of a refrigerator.

  • When the equipment is not prepared in advance for removal by the customer, for example: lowering a dryer over a washing machine.

  • "Similar electrical and electronic equipment" - electrical and electronic equipment from the same classification group intended for similar use to the equipment sold, regardless of the name of the manufacturer or importer or the trademark, for example - if a refrigerator with an internal volume of 200 liters is purchased, a refrigerator with an internal volume of 600 liters will not be removed without additional payment.

Important to know:

The removed product ("electronic waste") does not pose a health or environmental hazard that prevents its removal (for example, gas emitted from a refrigerator, or a very rusty oven that cannot be removed by normal means).
Old equipment that may pose a health or safety risk during removal will not be removed.

All of the above is subject to the Law on Treatment of Electronic Waste and Batteries, 5772-2012. The law applies to the following devices:

  • Heating or cooling devices - refrigerators, freezers, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, heat pumps, heating devices.

  • Electronics - screens, displays, devices including screens with an area of more than 100 cm², including televisions, digital frames, displays for laptops.

  • Large household appliances - one side is longer than 50 cm.

  • Electrical appliances used for cooking or heating food - electric ovens, electric stoves, microwaves.

  • Other household appliances - washing machines, dryers, dishwashers.
